SEE THE QUANTITY DEVELOP
From a dimensioned route
to a reviewable takeoff.
Follow one piping route through the input register, measured lengths and a drawing revision. Then open the workbook and change the dimensions yourself.
What the workbook contains
The route takeoff tab keeps the segment dimensions, total route and revision change together. Amber cells are editable. The second tab is a blank estimating brief for your own package: location, trades, documents, vendor boundaries, deadline and required outputs.
No material unit prices, wage rates or assumed joint counts are supplied. A centreline route is a measured input; straight cut lengths, fittings, supports, shop/field joints and testing need their own document basis.
Walkthrough transcript
00:00 — Define the input
Record the drawing reference, revision and measurement boundary. The worked reference is EX-PIPE-01 Revision A.
00:07 — Measure the route
Segment A is 12 ft, B is 8 ft and C is 10 ft. The centreline total is 30 ft. Keep the individual segments available for review.
00:14 — Show the change
Revision B changes segment A to 18 ft. The route becomes 36 ft, a 6 ft increase. The workbook calculates the total and difference from its input cells.
00:21 — Deliver the basis
Carry the quantity, unit, input revision and exclusions into the estimate package. Resolve component quantities and pricing separately.
Request this structure for your own bid
Send the current drawings and tell us how the output should be grouped: line, system, equipment tag, area or bid code. Confirm whether you need quantities only, a priced construction estimate, marked plans or a revision comparison.
